Does Caroline Kennedy say 'you know' a lot?You betcha!
As Obama would say, "Uhhh, Ahhh... I think she's very articulate. Uhhh..."
The daughter of the nation's 35th president, who hopes to be chosen to fill fellow Democrat Hillary Rodham Clinton's soon-to-be-vacant New York Senate seat, gave some interviews late last week.
Cuffy Meigs of Perfunction took audio from this Kennedy interview with the Associated Press and counted 30 "you knows" in 2 minutes, 16 seconds! I counted at least 10 "Ums".
Here's the, you know, um, video proof:
Ben Smith of Politico: "One thing Caroline Kennedy would bring to Washington: A new, distinctive Kennedy verbal tic: She said "you know" 142 times in her New York Times interview."

Only someone privileged like Caroline Kennedy can call the governor's office and request to be named Senator of New York.
England has carried being born to privilege to the point of silliness. People there are given titles such as king, queen, prince and other royalty nonsense.
People who fought the Revolutionary War saw through that crap. Americans were smart back then.
Since then, something has happened to us.
You know? Oh please. I'm telling you these seats are for the elite of this country. Well, I hear in Chicago you can buy one. Whatever. We are traveling down a dangerous in this country. We know it, most don't.
Have a terrific week and a very Happy New Year. :)
I listened to some of that interview on television. It was more than I could take. I'm sure it;s just a nervous habit that she is not even aware of, but she will never make it as a good public speaker with that bad of a tic, or whatever you want to call it. Senator? I think not! (Thank Goodness)
That must be the reason why she said for so many years she wanted to stay out of the public eye.
Sandee - So true. Politics is all about who you know. Happy New Year to you too! :)
Matt - Yeah, it's hard to believe she didn't have that little habit corrected years ago. Thanks for stopping by!
Lezzymom - You're probably right. Surely people close to her have told her she needs to get a handle on her "you knows" and "ums". With practice, anyone can correct those kind of speech tics. Thanks for your comment!
