Len - Just to clear up the confusion for ya, but the video shows Ronald Reagan, not Barack Hussein Obama.
And you and I both know ALL presidents have speech writers, and all presidents read speeches. So your comment about Reagan is puzzling, at best.
By the way, here on Political Conservatives, we do not censure tough comments or questions like is done over at the liberal blogFirst Door On The Left.
Hi Paul, I too loved Ronald Reagan. I campaigned for him and he was the first President I was old enough to vote for.
But, this is the very problem with the Republican Party right now.
If it doesn't stop hanging on to the very very old ones that have been there for ages, or, like Reagan been dead for quite a few years, then everyone might as well give up hope.
Why can't the Republican Party bring in some young fresh blood with new ideas?
We can't go on forever into eternity as if Reagan were still alive.
This is why I have left the party. When and if I see the Party itself move into this century and out of the 1970's.....then I may reconsider.
And according to this election the majority of the country feel as I do.
Why do you keep blaming the left for the right's mistakes?
My Bible says get the log out of your own eye before you attempt to remove the spec from your brother's eye.
I hope this doesn't make us enemies. I would just like to see more progress from The Republican party.
God Bless and Happy Thanksgiving!!
P.S. As a Christian do you think Jesus went around calling people names? The remark against Obama is very obviously racist. If Jesus had been a racist then we Gentiles would not have been allowed to follow him and be Christians....just something to ponder as you say grace tomorrow.
Shinade - If I said I thought you are retarded, would that make me a racist? Most people would say, "No", because we are both white.
But if someone criticizes Barack Hussein Obama these days, they are called 'racist' and prejudiced, among other things. Why? After all, Obama is half black AND half white.
Besides, this is really about censorship. If the race card is used often enough, soon everyone will be too scared to criticize "The One", in fear of being labeled a racist.
(By the way, I could not find the "racist" comment to which your were referring. Next time, please be more specific.)
Calling someone a racist is not a term that should be used lightly. So please do not use that word anymore to describe me - or I'll have to send mah boys Billy Bob Joe and Bubba to come and git yew!
As for your comments about the Republican Party bringing in "some young fresh blood with new ideas", actually, this is what got the GOP in trouble in the first place. Conservative principles and values, such as a small, less intrusive government and more personal freedom, are timeless. They should not be watered down, but rather, reinforced.
And you said you "left the party." May I ask, to go where? You talk about the Bible as if you are an expert, yet you are for Obama - who is PRO ABORTION. Not only that, he voted THREE TIMES in favor of letting babies who managed to somehow survive an abortion, to still be murdered! What true follower of Jesus would vote for a candidate who is for the murdering of defenseless babies?

Ah, now THERE was a leader!
Reagan probably does have a response to Obama getting in office. He's likely rolling in his grave right now.
What a lesson. It's as if he knew what was coming.
I loved Ronald. He was a great governor of California and a great president.
This is right on the money. It's so hip to hate America. Makes me sick.
Have a great day. :)
GREAT video!!!! I never tire of hearing Reagan's speeches. What a great man. It is a disgrace that our country has not heeded his voice.
oh yes i remember the principles and morality of iran-contras connection.
Anonymous/Spineless, you know you love Ronald Reagan and cried during his funeral.
Now go learn the words to our national anthem.
I kind of think he was talking to everybody.
You got to hand it to Ronnie Reagan, though. He had some great speech writers and he was great at reading what they wrote for him.
